What sound masking does

Not white noise, not a speaker playing music

Sound masking adds an engineered, barely noticeable background sound tuned to the frequencies of human speech. Speech a few desks away becomes unintelligible, so it stops being a distraction — and confidential conversations stay confidential.

Speech privacy

Raise the background sound floor so conversations stop carrying beyond the room they belong in.

Fewer distractions

Nearby chatter and keyboard noise blend into a soft, unobtrusive airflow-like sound.

Measured results

We commission to target levels across the space and hand over the measurements.

Clean installation

Direct-field emitters install above the ceiling or in exposed structures with minimal disruption.

The equipment

Small emitters, zoned controllers, nothing on show

Cambridge Sound and Biamp direct-field emitters are the size of a downlight and sit in the ceiling tile, in plasterboard, or hang from exposed structure. Everything else lives in the comms room.

Flush ceiling emitter

Fitted into the tile face so it reads as another ceiling service, not a speaker.

Exposed ceiling emitter

Pendant version for open soffits and industrial fit-outs, dropped to the right height.

Zoned control unit
